Butterfly Abaya Haul Overview

I share fashion and lifestyle content. I decided to get loads of abayas from butterflyabaya.com. I was just scrolling on their website and I was like, “Oh my goodness, they have so many options.“

So I’ve got my rack here of the butterfly abayas that I picked out. I’m going to give you guys a review on them, talk about the sizing and everything, because I couldn’t find much online about people buying butterfly abayas from this store.

So I thought I would give you guys a full review—my first impressions, because obviously I’ve opened them and ironed them.

The quality is amazing—it’s not see-through! I’m very excited to show you guys what I got.

Discount and Shopping Tips

They don’t run promotions very often, probably because their quality is great and they have a lot of returning customers. But when they do have sales, the discounts are usually quite significant. So it’s definitely worth keeping an eye out for those deals.

You get free delivery. They also accept all major credit and debit cards, and you have the option to pay later.

First Butterfly Abaya: Cream and Brown Three-Piece Set

I’m going to start with my first abaya dress—the one that I know I’m going to wear the most. It’s actually a three-piece set.

It says “two-piece” on the website, but I count the tie as one of the pieces, because I know a lot of abayas don’t come with a tie.

It comes with a separate slip dress, then the butterfly abaya , and then a separate tie as well. It doesn’t have little loop holes for the tie either, but—it has pockets! I’ve never personally owned an abaya dress with pockets, so this made me really excited.

The material is amazing—you can even see it online—it’s really thick, not see-through. I’m so excited to try this on!

I actually got this in two colors—the brown one and the cream one. These were the most expensive ones I bought—but I know nowadays it’s so rare to find a decent-priced butterfly abaya.

If you’re looking to build your collection or even if you just want to buy one or two, I definitely recommend checking out butterflyabaya.com.

I got it in a size XXL. A lot of the time with abayas, the sizing is the same, but it’s the length you need to watch out for. I normally go up a few sizes just to make sure that it actually hits the ground—because I’ve ordered butterfly abayas in the past and they’ve just gone up to my ankles, which I hate.

I’m 5’5″ for reference. This does touch the ground, and gives me a little bit extra as well—so keep that in mind when you’re ordering. They’ve got loads of reviews, so read them too!

It had the height in inches listed, and it said it would fit someone around 5’3″–5’4″, but it fits me perfectly and I’m 5’5″, so I took a gamble and it paid off.

I’ve been looking for simpler butterfly sleeve abaya for ages. So I got the brown one and the cream one.It comes with the slip dress (not attached), the little abaya on top, and then the tie.

It has pockets! It’s so exciting because when you go to the mosque in Ramadan, you don’t want to take a purse with you. You can just throw your keys and phone in your pockets, and it’s great.

Brown Butterfly Abaya Try-On

I know a lot of you girls don’t like tying the belt, so I wanted to show both options. You can also wear it without tying the belt, and it looks great too.

I love how flowy it is, and the material is great. It’s sewn really nicely.I like to add the tie on the bottom layer, then put the dress over it. You can find some hijabs that match.

I’m super into all-cream and white outfits, so I just think this is really lovely and easy to style. You could dress it up or down, and I actually prefer it without the tie, but the option is there. I could see myself wearing this butterfly abaya to Eid prayer or something like that.

It goes all the way to the floor—even drags a bit, which I don’t mind as long as my feet are covered.

Second Butterfly Abaya: Dusty Pink with Pearl Pins

This one I got is just so girly and fun. I went out for a meal with my friends last month and I worn one. You can look at the sleeve detailing by yourself. It’s like a layered sleeve, and the bottom is tiered as well—kind of a ruffled situation.

This one comes by itself, with a tie. I also ordered a plain white slip by itself—you can wear this with any open butterfly abaya.

Another thing: I got some little pearl button pins. So you can place them wherever to close the open butterfly abaya, and they look so elegant.

The pink one—it’s a dusty pink, very elegant and soft. This kind of style is very regal and elegant. It’s got butterfly sleeves, and I’ve been looking for this style for ages.

I don’t know what the fabric is called, but it has subtle stripe detailing. I think these kinds of abayas look amazing. It’s making me want to book a trip to a Muslim country and live in these!

Final Butterfly Abaya: Mauve Variation

The last one I got is kind of a variation of the pink one. It is more of a deeper mauve, maybe a bit more purple.

The only thing that’s different is it’s got a little opening on the sleeve area, like a batwing cut. I think the last two have ended up being my favorites—I just love how flowy and loose they are.

I didn’t realize how much I’d love this color, but I’m obsessed with the whole flowy sleeve detail.
